Derrick Allen shares his experience during the COVID-19 pandemic in Madison. He talks about getting laid off from two jobs early on in the pandemic, and how that affected his mental and physical health. He shares that around that same time, he was also diagnosed with both Stage 4 pancreatic cancer and COVID-19. Derrick describes how deeply he struggled with that news, as well as how he has found support, hope, and peace through family and spirituality.
