Teresa Téllez-Giron​ shares her experience during the COVID-19 pandemic in Madison. She describes the importance of extended family gatherings in her culture and the emotional toll of limiting contact when the pandemic hit. She shares how her mental and physical health suffered throughout the past year, including having COVID for a month, followed by pneumonia. Teresa also talks about the work she has done in her Latino community through her radio program, connecting people to accurate information in Spanish and educating them about masks and safety.
